A fantastic slope-side location and friendly, professional service add up to a great skiing hotel in the Sierra Nevada, in a lodge built of Finnish wood—unusual for southern Spain but appropriate in this alpine area—where rooms are luxurious yet cozy; the en suite bathrooms in the superior doubles have hydromassage tubs: perfect for the après-ski soak. The lodge also has an excellent restaurant specializing in Basque cuisine. The hotel is geared toward families and has a purpose-designed playroom for the tots.
