Calle Sierpes

Fodor's Review:

This is Seville's classy main shopping street. Near the southern end, at No. 85, a plaque marks the spot where the Cárcel Real (Royal Prison) once stood (now a bank). Miguel de Cervantes began writing Don Quijote in one of its cells.
