Named for the giant wooden wine cask that once dominated the bar, this busy spot is functional steel and bar stools inside with outside seating on the funky Plaza Alfalfa. The list of tapas (€2.50–€3) run to more than 15 and favorites with locals include bacalao confitado (caramelized cod) and lomo con tomate (pork loin with tomato). The bar is open for breakfast from 7am and serves food all day until midnight.
