Osuna, is a sleepy country town filled with impressive Renaissance palaces with baroque facades and mammoth wooden doorways usually left partly open to allow passersby to admire the wrought-iron grillwork and lush patios within. The Cabildo Colegial, (Chapterhouse), the Antigua Audiencia (former courthouse), the Panteón Ducal (Duke's Pantheon), and the Colegiata de Santa María church with its churrigueresque altar and José de Ribera paintings are the finest of the many noble houses here.
