Once in the region, buses are the best way (other than driving) to get around Andalusia. Buses serve most small towns and villages and are faster and more frequent than trains. From Granada, Alsina Gräells serves Alcalá la Real, Almería, Almuñecar, Cazorla, Córdoba, Guadix, Jaén, Lanjarón, Motril, Órgiva, Salobreña, Seville, and Úbeda.
Autocares Bonal operates buses between Granada and the Sierra Nevada. Granada's bus station is on the highway to Jaén. Buses serve Córdoba as well, but the routes are covered by myriad companies. For schedules and details, go to Córdoba's bus station (next to the train station) and inquire with the appropriate company. Alsina Gräells connects Córdoba with Granada, Seville, Cádiz, Badajoz, and Málaga. Alsa long-distance buses connect Seville with Madrid; with Cáceres, Mérida, and Badajoz in Extremadura; and with Córdoba, Granada, Málaga, Ronda, and Huelva in Andalusia. Regional buses connect the towns and villages in this region. The coastal route links Granada, Málaga, and Marbella to Cádiz. From Ronda, buses run to Arcos, Jerez, and Cádiz.
