Seville is easily reached by air, although from the U.S. you need to connect in Madrid or London. Domestically, airlines such as Air Europa, Spanair, and Vueling connect Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, and other major Spanish cities with Seville, Granada, Málaga, and Gibraltar, while Iberia flies from Jerez de la Frontera to Almería, Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao, Valencia, Ibiza, and Zaragoza.
From Madrid, the best approach to Andalusia is via the high-speed railroad connection, the AVE. In under three hours, the spectacular ride winds from Madrid's Atocha Station through the olive groves and rolling fields of the Castilian countryside to Córdoba and on to Seville. Another option, especially if you plan to go outside Seville, Granada, and Córdoba, is to travel by car. The main road south from Madrid is the A4/E5.
