Taxes in Slovenia

Visitors who buy goods worth more than EUR 50 (about $70) at any one store on a single day are entitled to a refund of taxes, which can be as much as 16.67% in Slovenia. When you make a purchase, ask for a Request for V.A.T. Refund form, Zahtevek za vracilo DDV. A customs officer will certify the form when you leave the country. To obtain the refund, go to the Global Refund office at the border crossing point or the airport. Exporting historic artifacts is forbidden.
