In major cities banks and ATMs are easy to find. Since Slovenia has adopted the euro as its official currency, you don't need to change money again if you are coming from another euro-zone country. Still, you may see that many prices are still listed in the former currency, the tolar (SIT), which traded at a rate of about 240 to the euro. Prices quoted in this chapter are in euros, unless otherwise noted.
