White-water rafting is not the only game in town. Bovec is a great base for leisurely cycling trips or more aggressive mountain-bike climbs. Private bike outfitters or the tourist-information center can provide maps and advice. It's also a great base for hiking the western regions of the Triglav National Park. The map Bovec z Okolico is available at the tourist-information center and kiosks around town; it marks out several good walks and bike trips of varying degrees of difficulty.
