This friendly place is busy year-round. Locals meet here for morning coffee or a bargain prix-fixe lunch -- or just to drink the cheapest beer in town. While rowdy farmers occupy the front bar, lovers share a candlelit supper in the dining room. Portions are "for people who work all day": roast chicken and fries, steak and mushrooms, black pudding, and turnips. For dessert, walnut strukli (dumplings) are served with cream.
