This exclusive 14th-century manor house is in Spodnje Idrija, 4 km (2½ mi) from Idrija. Each bedroom is individually decorated with 19th-century antiques and details such as bed linens edged with local handmade lace. Reserve a room well in advance because the reputation of this hotel keeps it full. The restaurant is not open to the public, but the owners will prepare a special meal if you phone ahead.
