Fodor's Review:

This delightful family-run hotel is possibly one of the most welcoming places you'll ever stay. The excellent hotel restaurant, Restauracija Topli Val—easily the best in the area—serves local trout and freshwater crayfish, as well as mushrooms and truffles in season. Italians drive over the border just to eat here.

this hotel may once have been friendly, but it has been sold to a new owner, and is anything but friendly. In fact, it a cold unappealing place, with high prices. Even the town folk agree. Walk around the town center and pick one of the unassuming places, and you will be 100% better off than at Hotel Hvala.

Very clean and friendly hotel. The restaurant in the hotel was excellent!
