In the center of Kobarid, the Kobariski muzej (Kobarid Museum) has a fascinating exhibition of the fighting, including diaries of the soldiers involved. The museum also gives a 20-minute video presentation—with projections, sound effects, and narration in English. The Kobarid Historical Walk takes you on a 5-km (3-mi) hike through lovely countryside, over a hair-raising bridge, and up to a spectacular waterfall. You'll follow the former front line and visit various sites related to World War I along the way. The path is clearly marked, and a self-guiding pamphlet and map are available at the Kobarid Museum.
