Stolnica sveti Nikolaja

Fodor's Review:

This proud baroque cathedral overshadows the daily market on Vodnikov trg. Building took place between 1701 and 1708, and in 1836 the cupola was erected. In 1996, in honor of Pope John Paul II's visit, new bronze doors were added. The main door tells the story of Christianity in Slovenia, whereas the side door shows the history of the Ljubljana diocese.
