Fodor's Review

This spectacular cavern, hollowed out of the limestone by rushing water, can be reached via a steep cliff stairway from the Smoo Cave car park. Explanatory boards at the top of the stairs tell the history of those who lived and used the caves in much earlier times. Also worth exploring are the number of wonderful sandy beaches found as you head east to Tongue, especially the one at Sango Bay. Boat tours around the Kyle of Durness run daily from April through September.
