Fodor's Review

About 5 miles south of the causeway from Grimsay to Benbecula, atop Rueval Hill, stands the 30-foot-high statue of the Madonna and Child known as Our Lady of the Isles. The local Catholic community erected the statue, the work of sculptor Hew Lorimer, in 1957.
