Fodor's Review

The extraordinary Grey Cairns of Camster, two Neolithic chambered cairns dating from 4000 BC to 3000 BC, are among the best preserved in Britain. Camster Round Cairn is 20 yards in diameter and 13 yards high, and Camster Long Cairn reaches nearly 77 yards in length. Some 19-century excavations revealed skeletons, pottery, and flint tools in the round cairn's internal chamber. If you don't mind dirty knees, you can crawl into the chambers in both cairns.
