North Uist

You’ll find art everywhere on the island, from the ends of roads and paths to the edge of the coast, only visible from a boat. Be sure to visit the camera obscura (an old-fashioned projector) at the Uist Outdoor Centre just beyond the ferry terminal. Its watery images are evocative and unsettling.
