Halfway along a road that ends at the sea, this well-kept hotel is built into a small hill and contemplates the mystical Summer Isles. This remote gem has a bright dining room with a wall of windows and a snug bar with an impressive selection of malt whiskies. (There's also a grittier public bar.) The main building houses three rooms, with three more are in a nearby cottage. Luxury suites with spectacular views are found in separate annexes. With exposed stonework, modern bathrooms, and everything finished to a high standard, this is Highlands chic. The restauirant serves lunch and a five course set dinner (£58). Meals are also offered in the bar.
