Fodor's Review

With spectacular coastal views, Floodigarry retains the feel of a grand country house, with antique furnishings and beautifully finished wood throughout. The spacious rooms are complemented by a comfortable lounge and a conservatory, so you can enjoy the views without worrying about the weather. Down a dark path through woodlands, you emerge to a glorious view of the ocean and mountains. The two deer you see are metal, but they still seem about to leap. The cottages beside the main house include one that was home to Flora Macdonald, who helped Bonnie Prince Charlie to escape "over the sea to Skye." Yes, you can have a room in Flora's own cottage, where six of her children were born. The main hotel is a bit grander, and serves excellent seafood in the dining room. There's also a bar with music on the weekend.
