Fodor's Review

This loch was a favorite among Victorian visitors—mysterious and wide and, at times, quite wild. Take a cruise around the loch if time permits, as the shores remain undeveloped and scenic. The steamship Sir Walter Scott and the motor launch Lady of the Lake sail from here several times a day. You can make the round-trip journey around the loch, or head directly across to Stronlachlachlar and return by bicycle on the loch-side road. Boats depart several times a day between April and October. There are café facilities and cycle hire shops at the head of the loch.
