1. Caithness Glass at Crieff Visitor Centre
Crieff was once best known for its glass. You can watch the glassblowing process (weekdays only) and then browse the sales gallery here for paperweights and other gift items. There's also a garden center and a restaurant.

At this family-owned business you can purchase deerskin shoes and moccasins, as well as leather items including jackets, gloves, shoes, and wallets.

5. John A. Lacey
Carver John Lacey has worked at this house on the road between Killin and Aberfeldy since 1984. Its front room is a treasure trove of horn carving, from a full-masted galleon to knives in their sheaths. He also has deerskins for sale. Lacey says the egg spoons are the most popular items.

6. Made in Stirling
This arts-and-crafts gallery in the center of Stirling sells a whole range of creative arts—jewelry, paintings, woodwork, stained glass, cards, and gifts—mostly by local artists. It also offers courses and workshops for locals and visitors.

7. Stirling Bagpipes
This small shop sells bagpipes of every type and at every price, including antiques by legendary craftspeople that are displayed in glass cases. The owner, Alan Waldron, who tunes the chanters and drones in a room behind the shop, has been known to take time to walk shoppers through the history of these wonderful instruments, upon request.

8. The Watermill
At this converted mill you can visit an excellent independent bookshop with a large children's section. The mill also has a gallery with frequently changing exhibitions, a home-goods store (called Homer), and a café.
