Within a hundred yards of Callander's main street, pass through an unpretentious arch and you'll find this 17th-century hunting lodge surrounded by ornate gardens. The drawing room and exquisite library recall the hotel's origins, and the rooms are furnished with the past in mind; comfortable and elegant, they have large and modern bathrooms. The River Teith flows past the house, and guests enjoy fishing rights; for those with less vigorous activities in mind, there is
a lovely walled garden and a riverside arbor. The restaurant is elegant, serving lunch and dinner.
