Macdonald Forest Hills Hotel Review

A traditional Scottish country-house theme pervades this hotel, from the rambling white building itself to the wood-paneled lounges, log fires, and numerous sporting activities. More than 20 acres of gardens and grounds surround the building, which sits on a grassy hillside overlooking Loch Ard. Chintz drapes and reproduction antiques fill the bedrooms. The restaurant (£29.50 and £35 fixed-price menus) has tartan decor that makes an appropriate backdrop for Scottish game, salmon, beef, and lamb.
