Fodor's Review

You can observe wintering wildfowl, including various species of geese, ducks, swans, and raptors on the wetlands surrounding atmospheric Carlaverock Castle. In summer, ospreys patrol the waters of this wild and beautiful place, the northernmost outpost of the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust. Free guided walks are available in the afternoons throughout the year.
