Staying in one of the guest rooms in the 12th-century wing of Traquair House is to experience a slice of Scottish history. Each of the spacious rooms is individually decorated with antiques and canopied beds—perfect for a little self-indulgence. During your stay you may explore those parts of the house that are open to the public, or walk in the gardens and explore the grounds. In the 18th-century lower drawing room you can savor a glass of the house ale before an open fire.
