The Creel
The Creel Review
This outstanding "restaurant with rooms" with a glowing reputation sits right on the waterfront of one of Orkney's loveliest harbors at St. Margaret's Hope. On the island of South Ronaldsay, the inn's charm lies partly in the fuss-free approach to hospitality that makes everyone, from the local farmer to a visiting business executive, feel welcome. Imaginative modern Scottish cuisine uses the freshest Orcadian seafood, seaweed-fed lamb, and locally grown vegetables. Three simple guest rooms overlook the bay. Pros: beautiful location; fresh and inventive dishes. Cons: wine list is limited.
