Grand Central Hotel Review

This hotel certainly deserves its name, as everything about it, from the magnificant marble-floor champagne bar to the ballroom fully restored to its original glory, is grand. This was one of the great railway hotels of the late 19th century, and many of the original features have been carefully preserved, including the guest-room doors and windows. Many of the rooms are spacious and high-ceiling, decorated in muted colors and papered in elegant designs. The Tempus restaurant maintains the theme of quiet elegance with a menu celebrating Scottish beef, fish, venison, and duck. The huge murals in the dining room commemorate the great days of the railway. A bright, modern deli serves coffee and sandwiches on weekdays.
