Rogano

Rogano Review

Modeled after the Queen Mary, this restaurant's spacious art-deco interior—maple paneling, chrome trim, and dramatic ocean murals—is enough to recommend it. Portions are generous in the main dining area, where you'll find impeccably prepared seafood dishes like pan-seared scallops, as well as classics like roast rack of lamb. You can eat very well in the less expensive Rogano Downstairs, where the brasserie-style food is more modern and imaginative. The gorgeous bar serves wonderful cocktails along with elegant sandwiches and a lovely fish soup. You can even sit on the terrace, obligingly warmed by open-air heaters throughout the winter. Few people know that between 3 and 6 you get a free starter or dessert with a main dish.
