Kirklee Hotel Review

This West End B&B occupies a cozy Edwardian town house with dark paneling and tartan carpets in the public areas. A bay window in the guest lounge overlooks a garden, and the old-fashioned morning room is adorned with embroidered settees and silk-wash wallpaper. Engravings on the walls and shelves of books in the library are a welcoming touch. The guest rooms are bright, comfortable, and simply decorated. The owners are friendly and helpful.

    Clean and good value

The Kirklee certainly looks much nicer on the outside, but it has a shabby/chic atmosphere that we enjoyed. Service was good, the room was very clean and spacious and we had a lovely view at our breakfast table each morning overlooking the quiet street in front of the B&B. Breakfasts appeared at our door by the good natured staff, even though they had to carry our laden tray up 3 flights of stairs. Would recommend as good value and location.
