Fodor's Review

Occupying a converted stable behind the Hillhead subway station, this restaurant is an institution among members of Glasgow's media and theater communities, who most days can be found in the busy bar. The more informal upstairs brasserie serves haggis with neeps and tatties (turnips and potatoes, if you prefer) or slow-roasted pork shoulder. The ground-floor restaurant has a large cobbled courtyard with a glass roof. The more expensive menu offers fish and game dishes that vary from week to week. Try the roast saddle of rabbit or the monkfish with pork belly. There's an excellent lunch and pretheater menu for £15.95.
