Fodor's Review

Close to Glasgow University, this popular hangout attracts a more mature student crowd. It's an airy spot with high ceilings, leather sofas, and wood floors, and the specialty is good, eclectic food at reasonable prices. Breakfast is your best bet, with thick-sliced French toast, or eggs served on an English muffin with spinach and smoked salmon. Tapas-style plates are an option at lunch: try roasted eggplant and wild-garlic hummus with whole grain flatbread, or sticky pork ribs cooked in maple syrup and sesame. Among the main dishes, the seafood curry stands out. This is also a nice place to relax with a a beer after walking around Kelvingrove Park.
