This West End B&B occupies a cozy Edwardian town house with dark paneling and tartan carpets in the public areas. A bay window in the guest lounge overlooks a garden, and the old-fashioned morning room is adorned with embroidered settees and silk wallpaper. Engravings on the walls and shelves of books in the library are a welcoming touch. The guest rooms are bright, comfortable, and simply decorated. The owners are friendly and helpful.

The Kirklee certainly looks much nicer on the outside, but it has a shabby/chic atmosphere that we enjoyed. Service was good, the room was very clean and spacious and we had a lovely view at our breakfast table each morning overlooking the quiet street in front of the B&B. Breakfasts appeared at our door by the good natured staff, even though they had to carry our laden tray up 3 flights of stairs. Would recommend as good value and location.
