The Scotsman

Fodor's Review:

This magnificent turn-of-the-20th-century, gray-sandstone building, with a marble staircase and a fascinating history—it was once the headquarters of the Scotsman newspaper—now houses a modern, luxurious hotel. Dark wood, earthy colors, tweeds, and contemporary furnishings decorate the rooms and public spaces. North Bridge, the casual-chic brasserie, serves shellfish and grill food.
