Santini Review

Fine food and cheery surroundings gives Santini an edge over other Italian eateries on Lothian Road. The decor is crisp and vibrant, with lots of stone, wood, and contemporary furnishings. Classic dishes include osso buco (Piemontese-style braised veal shank) and steamed wild sea bass with mixed herbs and balsamic vinegar. The simple pizza margherita will keep kids happy, while the pizza fiorentina with mozzarella, tomatoes, spinach, and egg is deliziosa. The fixed two-course lunch (antipasto and primo) is a good value at £10.
