Malmaison Review

Once a seamen's hostel, the Malmaison now draws a more refined clientele. A dramatic black and taupe color scheme prevails in the public areas. King-size beds, CD players, and satellite TV are standard in the bedrooms, which are decorated in a bold, modern style. The French theme of the hotel, which is part of a chic British chain, is emphasized in the bar and brasserie.
