With such sumptuous rooms, you might think that Kew House was a full-service hotel. Inside the elegant 1860 terraced house are unfussy rooms with nice touches like hair dryers, coffeemakers, and free Wi-Fi. Welcome luxuries include fresh flowers, decadent chocolates, and a decanter of sherry on arrival. Adjacent is a small modern apartment that sleeps three.

Just returned from an extended trip to the U.K. and spent 4 days in Edinburgh. It's an awesome city and thankfully I had great accommodation too at Kew House. My girlfriend and I chose most of our accommodation from guide books and Fodors, and I just wanted to thank you for this gem. It's not a big hotel (just six rooms and they have some apartments too), but we felt so welcome and comfortable. The hosts could not do enough for us and insisted we
try some local restaurants (even booking tables for us). We had some inexpensive and incredible food (some of the best of the trip). It's not a place for those looking for leisure complexes or swimming pools but if you want a well run, spotlessly clean, stylish place to stay along with some of the big hotel comforts like multi channel flatscreen television, little room fridges with space for my drinks, bar, free parking, and free wi-fi (thank goodness) and if you like being treated like an individual then try this place! It wasn't the cheapest place we stayed but we certainly felt we got value for money especially after some of the less pricey and less pleasant places elsewhere on our trip. Thanks for a great place guys!

We recently stayed 3 nights in one of the 2 bedroom townhouse apartments located right around the corner fromm the Kew House itself. The town house was very comfortable, spotlessly clean, and well furnished and made a very comfortable stay for the 3 of us. The owners are extremely friendly and couldn't be more helpful. There is a computer with free internet access in the living room, and we had a dishwasher and washer/dryer in our townhouse. Easy
access by frequent buses or a 15 minute walk to downtown.

We have just returned from Hogmanay in Edinburgh, staying in Kew House. It proved to be a good choice. It was so easy to walk everywhere (very handy on New Year's morning) and the hosts could not have been kinder - even managing to acquire passes to the Street Party free of charge and helping us to plan our days and nights. There was a great atmosphere throughout our stay. I would recommend Edinburgh and Kew House to anyone wanting to enjoy Hogmanay.
