Fodor's Review

A 10-minute walk from the city center, this B&B in a Georgian town house is handy for when you want to investigate the quiet charms of leafy Stockbridge. High-ceilinged, elegant rooms are furnished in a traditional style, and there's a good choice of breakfasts—from traditional Scottish to American-style pancakes. Four of the rooms are on the ground floor, and six are in the windowed basement. The family suite can accommodate five people.

Lovely niche in romantic city!

We loved our room at the Walton Hotel in July 2006. Spent two night here and had a lovely room big enough for family of four, with a set of bunk beds in the entry alcove. Nice country style breakfast room, with extra touches. We really enjoyed visiting with the young lady manager on duty who was a Polish transplant and comparing notes on our respective countries habits and economies. We parked our rental car in the tiny space they saved us and

walked everywhere and rode the buses, a must do to see the city if you have only a short time. Recommended this hotel to a friend following behind us a week later, who had no reservations. the room had all we needed for a comfortable, clean place to crash after a day chock full of sightseeing.
