Oloroso
Oloroso Review
In the heart of the New Town and close to the main shopping streets, this is the perfect spot for a revitalizing lunch or dinner after exploring the city. The contemporary international cooking reflects influences from Europe and Asia, the service is efficient and friendly, and the bar serves some of the best cocktails in Britain. Try the roasted duck breast with braised red cabbage and apples, or the aubergine galette (eggplant tart) with a tomato-and-cinnamon sauce. The wine list has about 230 selections, including champagne. The dining room and roof terrace have stunning views across the Firth of Forth to the hills of Fife on one side, and the castle and city rooftops on the other. Check out the lunch deals: two courses for £19.50 or three courses for £24.50.
