Fodor's Review

At the Highland Folk Museum you can explore reconstructed Highland buildings, including a Victorian-era schoolhouse, and watch tailors, clockmakers, and joiners demonstrating their trades. Walking paths (or old-fashioned buses) take you to an 18th-century township that includes a feal house, made of turf, and a weaver's house. Throughout the museum there are hands-on exhibitions like a working quern stone for grinding grain, making this a great outing for kids.
