An old hunting lodge perched in the hills of Nethybridge, this hotel boasts great views out over the valley. The faded tartan carpets are charming, and the open fire in the downstairs public room gives it a grand feel. The bedrooms are calmly decorated, and most have private bathrooms. Herb-glazed monkfish and pork fillet with garlic mash are on the menu at the in-house restaurant. The hotel makes a great base for exploring the Cairngorms. Heatherlea, a company specializing
in bird-watching and wildlife tours, is also based here.
