Glenfinnan House Review

This high-ceilinged hotel was built in the 18th century as the home of Alexander MacDonald VII of Glenaladale, who was wounded fighting for Bonnie Prince Charlie, and was transformed into an even grander mansion in the mid-19th century. Today you can discover the dark-wood interiors from this period in the simply furnished, serene guest rooms. From many rooms there are stunning loch-side views of Ben Nevis. Scottish fare with a contemporary twist is served in the stately dining room. Expect top-notch service from the cosmopolitan staff.
