Pierhouse Hotel Review

The round towers of the old pier mark the entrance to this hotel and restaurant, appealingly situated on the water's edge beside the jetty. The rooms are quite small, but clean and comfortable. The hotel is a good base for exploring the region, and it's also a nice place to relax and watch the changing moods of the loch. The public bar is pleasantly animated, filled with walkers and water-sports enthusiasts headed to Lismore. The restaurant serves the freshest seafood; try its signature platter of lobster (caught at the pier's edge), scallops, mussels, and langoustine. Some room rates include dinner.
