Lochranza Castle

Lochranza Castle Review

This ruined castle is quite picturesque—you'll often see deer grazing nearby or seals swimming in the bay. The ground-floor rooms and a few upstairs can be visited during the summer months. This is said to have been the landing place of Robert the Bruce when he returned from Rathlin Island in 1307 to start the campaign that won Scotland's independence. A sign indicates where you can pick up the key to get in.
