Lochranza

Lochranza shows Arran's wilder northern side, with rocky seashores and sweeping slopes leading to the stark granite peaks of Goatfell and Caisteal Abahail (2,735 feet), which dominate the skyline.

The respected Isle of Arran Distillery nestles in the hills overlooking Lochranza Bay. Until recently, this was Arran's only distillery, but in 2019 it gained a baby sister, the Lagg Distillery at Kilmory; however, due to the length of time required for the distilling process, Lagg won't be producing its own malts until several years from now.
