It might seem odd ordering Japanese food in Aberdeen, but considering the quality and quantity of fresh fish being landed on the quayside each day it makes perfect sense. The slick facade and glowing red interior might be a little intimidating at first, but the smiling staff is approachable, and, for the uninitiated, is happy to help you choose the right blend of flavors and textures. The place isn't cheap, but as far as Japanese food is concerned, it's not extortionate
either: £12 for seared beef salad, £15 for six pieces of sushi. Japanese saki and beer are a treat.
