Zenit, St. Petersburg's Premier League soccer team which has begun giving its better-known Moscow rivals a serious run for their money in recent years and won the Russian Championship in 2007, plays now at Petrovsky Stadium (2g Petrovsky Ostrov, Petrograd Side. 812/328-8902. Metro: Sportivnaya). Check any of the city's teatralnaya kassa for tickets. A new stadium, dubbed "The Spaceship," is under construction on Kresovsky Ostov in place of the now-demolished Kirov Stadium.
