Marriott Tverskaya Review

After a stroll from Red Square along bustling Tverskaya ulitsa, you may find comfort in the coziness of this eight-story art nouveau building. The small, peaceful lobby is complemented by a four-story atrium, which is overlooked by the alcove booths of the Italian restaurant Gratzi. A sunny guests-only lounge offers coffee and tea in the morning, and drinks at the end of the day. The rooms are understated—ivory, rose, and olive make up the palette, with darker notes provided by wood furniture. Old black-and-white prints of Moscow scenes line the walls on some floors. Pros: spacious rooms; comfortable beds; 24-hour health club. Con: there have been complaints of unhelpful and even rude staff.
