Fodor's Expert Review The State Mayakovsky Museum
Editor's Note: This property is currently undergoing renovations.
This collection honoring one of Russia's great revolutionary poets (1893–1930) is suitably among the most imaginative and revolutionary installations in the city, housed in the building he inhabited opposite the headquarters of the KGB. The collection includes archival documents, photos, manuscripts, paintings, and letters, including the poet's handwritten suicide note, that trace his early revolutionary activities, complicated love affairs, and death.
