Moscow Environs Restaurants

Although the tourist traffic to some towns near Moscow helps sustain a sufficient infrastructure, there are still few private restaurants, largely because Russians themselves do not dine out that frequently. The most reliable restaurants are in hotels catering to tourists or, occasionally, in downtown locations near main tourist sights. This is slowly changing, and some of the restaurants outside hotels can be quite cozy. Happily, restaurant prices here are considerably lower than in Moscow.
